Facilities
All water in the cottage is pumped from our spring-fed well, located in the well house by the kitchen door.
Firewood for the two wood stoves is included in the rental. There is also central heating as required.
Bed linen and hand towels are included but please provide your own bath towels.
Facilities include television, DVD player, small radio/CD player.
There is a no-smoking policy within the cottage.
Free-range organic eggs from Lower Merripit hens are sometimes available for sale.
There is ample parking space in the cottage front yard and lane.
Babies and small children are welcome but we do not have cot facilities.
Due to the variation in floor levels the cottage is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Dogs are welcome by arrangement.
Nearby village post office and general stores provides basic groceries.
Range of pubs in the locality that serve food.
Please note that there is no mobile signal at the farm and no wifi in the cottage.
Wherever possible we use environmentally-friendly and biodegradable products for cleaning and domestic use, and encourage all visitors to do the same.
Conditions of Booking
A non-returnable deposit of 25% of the rental charge is required when your dates are confirmed.
The balance is due 4 weeks before the start date of your booking.
We ask for a cautionary damage deposit on booking of £100 which can be paid via Paypal, direct to the bank or by cheque.This will refunded within a week after the booking.
The rental cost includes the fuel charge (for oil heating, firewood & electricity).
There is a charge of £10 per week to cover additional cleaning if you wish to bring a dog.
The period of booking commences from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure.
